I would suggest you to apply for skilled worker visa. It may take a couple of years but the chances to find a job before you arrive in Canada are small. You can try though. Most of the jobs go through employment agencies (http://www.jobagencies.ca/index.asp?p=1&sp=1)and they prefer to work with people who are already in Canada. At least this is my experience.

Hi praki,

Here in Canada we need more nurses every day, a lot of hospitals are understaffed but to work in Canada you need some certificates and I doubt you can a find a job remotely.

This is the Canadian Nurses Association web site: http://www.cna-nurses.ca/CNA/default_e.aspx

thanks a lot for the quick replies. Now i have one more question: which is the best province to register for international nurses(with better job opportunities ...) do you know which province is having international exam centres or give exemptions to register without examination. thank you once again

Hi praki,
I don't know which the best province is; on the other hand the demand for qualified nurses is huge! Every province has Provincial Nominee program. You first apply to the province and if you are selected you apply to CIC for Permanent Residence.
Every province has its own regulations. For more info check the CIC web site: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/skilled/provnom/index.html

This web site is for BC Provincial Nominee Program (health occupations): http://www.healthmatchbc.org/hmbc_nurses.asp?pageid=622

This web site is for Alberta Provincial Nominee Program (health occupations): http://www23.hrdc-drhc.gc.ca/2001/e/groups/3.shtml

Hope this will make it clearer :)
