Just Checking

Hey, I have a few questions about the background and Police checks.
I am, I suppose, about to go ahead with the checks required before I
move to Vancouver as a sponsored spouse.
My queries (worries) are as follows :

Will credit checks be taken into account?
Will my poor credit go against me?
Will poor work references also be taken into account?
I suppose I'm just thinking of everything!

How long do they take?
How much do they cost? (British £)
What is the first step I take?

It is a police check for criminal record. I don't think they do credit report, I'm pretty sure they don't. As for how much that is you should check that with your Ministry or Police or the organization in charge of those kinds of certificates in Britain…

I'm bit of a worrier and I think of things in bed at night and then I come here and post about them! lol

I checked the link - thnaks! I think I've more or less given up on the student plan, as I really wouldn't be as passionate and dedicated about going to school as I would need to be to get a good grade. SO the Spousal Sponsorship is the way ahead for us. We are putting it off until Spring/Summer when I've saved lots of money and Adj has finished her course and is also earning.
