Hi,
Applied for immigration under the FSW category. After the preliminary approval the application was forwarded to the relevant visa post. The visa office recently asked for additional documents. Specifically they asked for IMM0008 Generic for the spouse. It has been clearly stated in the immigration guide that this form has to be submitted by the principal applicant only. Yet the visa office has asked the spouse (dependent) to fill up this form as well. Could it be a mistake because all the information asked for in this form about the spouse is already contained in the rest of the application package (Schedule 3 and additional family info etc).
The reason for this post is that filling up this particular form by spouse gets confusing. It has fields such as asking about under what category you are applying (the choice of categories would be applicable to the principal applicant not the spouse). Similarly, how many persons are included in this application.
