Hi everyone,

I was a technician in switch center in local telephone company before immegrated to Canada. My main reponsibilties was to test circuts and trunks; troubleshoot trunks problem ; change route data and billing data if necessary etc; And I'm currently working as wireless tech support at one of the largest telecom company. I'm looking for better job so I'm able to continue my career in Telecom.

I understand that the standards is so different in my country from here; So I'm searching about some necessary certificates I should get for getting better job.

I'm open for any suggestions. Thanks

Yes, you most likely will have to go to a course or two and get new certificates which will allow you to work in Canada. It won't be difficult to get those certificates because it is in your area of expertise, right?

Hi,
I have no idea what certificates you may need but you can visit this site that I found - Ryerson University:
http://www.itatryerson.com/access.aspx?levelOneTab=1&levelTwoTab=133

or University Of Waterloo: http://www.cwc.uwaterloo.ca/

This can give you a rough idea.
You can call recruiters who deal with telecommunications; they may tell you what the requirements are and may know how to get certified.
A list of employment agencies here: http://www.jobagencies.ca/index.asp?p=1&sp=1
Search the agencies and call them for more info.
