Hi, I was wondering what is the minimum period of working hours you can be hired?

Hi Bongi,
An employee must be paid for a minimum of 3 hours work unless they are hired to work less than three hours per day or are students.

Thank you Tsveta.
The minimum wage is updated every year I think. Do you pay taxes if you are on minimum wage?

I don't think so. If you are below the minimum taxable income you won't pay taxes, in fact you may be eligible for benefits.

Thanks contractor, it makes sense...:(
Hi, the government updates the minimum wage but it doesn't seem to me the employers are updating the wages. When was the last time your wage updated?

Did you know that the Ontario government will increase the minimum wage to $10.25 an hour by 2010?
Well, this only means that there is a steady inflation...
