Greetings.
I'm an experienced mobile crane driver in the U.K, but have been told that to operate a crane in Canada, I need to do a 22 week college course.
I would also like to work part-time to help fund my stay, does anybody know what kind of visa I will need?
I'm English by the way.

I have also learned that to be accepted on the course I must be employed by a Canadian employer, in a crane environment.

I don't know if I could use my newly acquired Canadian qualification, in other territories of Canada, apart from the one where I would gain the qualification.(Newfoundland)

If anybody has any information on any crane companies who maybe interested in putting me through this course, I would be most grateful

To be honest with you, I'm absolutely baffled by everything.

Hi Ian, did you contact any companies?
They will be able to tell you if you can use your qualifications in different provinces.
After you find a job, you can apply for a work permit; for more info how to that go to Canada Citizenship and Immigration: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/index.html

I found this web site on google: http://www.allcanadiantraining.com/products.html
but they are located in Edmonton, Alberta.
