Hi All,
I have a question,
I applied to SIN card before 1 and 1/2 year as soon as I immigrated to Canada, I came to Alberta, got my Permanent resident card and applied to SIN, suddenly I was notified that I need to return back to my country due to some private problem, after a while I got notified that clerk made a mistake, so I didn't get my SIN (only PR) and should appear again in the human resource office in order to apply again (re-apply)!
Now I decided to not to go to Alberta, I'm going to settle in Ontario, the question is, may I get/apply (re-apply) SIN card in Ontario without coming to Alberta? can it make some problem if from the beginning I was applied through another province?

Many thanks in advance,
Alex

The best think you could do is to ask a representative at HRSDC office: http://www.hrsdc.gc.ca/en/home.shtml
Find the office nearest to you and they will be able to assist you.

Hi Tsveta,
thanks for an answer,
but the problem is that i still out of country (Planing to come on May or June), so I have to decide where to go??? to Alerta in order to get my SIN (or apply to SIN) or directly to Toronto which is better in my case....
ALL ANSWERS WILL BE APPRECIATED
Many thanks in advance,

I don't see a problem if you come to Toronto and re-apply for SIN but to be 100% sure the best thing will be to contact the Human resource Office. Call them, they have a toll free number and will be able to help you. http://www.hrsdc.gc.ca/en/cs/sin/contact/contact_us.shtml#telephone
