Castonguay Blasting Ltd is a leading Canadian based provider of drilling and blasting services to the construction, surface mining and quarry industries. As a growing company, we are seeking highly motivated personnel to join our team.
:o Engineer
Responsibilities include:
Review tender packages, complete take-offs for quantities, prepare tender submission
Direct and supervise field construction activities for projects in such a way as to utilize labour, materials and equipment efficiently and cost effectively.
Continually be aware of project progress, schedule and the requirements for completion
Determine and recommend changes in methods, schedule and procedures where improvements would result on the project
Foster and maintain good relations with customers
Work with Project Managers to effectively manage materials and equipment on site
Prepare for and participate in project review meetings.
Candidates should have:
Bachelors Degree in mining or civil engineering
Require good leadership, communication and organizational skills
A strong commitment to safe work practices
Field and estimating experience would be an asset
