Hi , i am indian citizen . right now I am doing MS in uk and my visa expires after 1 yr (2007).meanwhile i would like to apply for immigration to canda. Can any how shed lighto n this .Is it better to apply for immigration from canda or uk ??? How time it will take.If applying from uk .... will it be fast ? thanks in advance.

Are you planning to apply as a skilled worker? You can apply for Canadian immigration in UK, that shouldn't be a problem. I've heard that immigration documents are processed faster in UK compared to some other countries.

What process do the immigrants have to go through?
I hear they have to speak relatively good English.
