Immigrating to Canada

Hi,

I want to find online resources explaining the whole immigration process to Canada. I know that Canada has point immigration system, but how do I find if I'll qualify as an independent immigrant/skilled worker (I'm a software engineer). Are there any official Canadian government web sites offering information for those who want to immigrate to Canada?
