I haven't quite decided which way I'm going to go yet. I understand that many security agencies like previous military and police. I also understand that many require different types of training. I plan on doing the army ''co-op'', next year, to gain experience and decide whether I like the army life. If I do, I will likely become at least a reservist. My questions is, what kind of training do security employers like or require you to have? What type of training is required for an armed security guard? What type of training is required for a bodyguard? How much of this can be done through the army and through community courses (not college or uni). Are there any courses geared towards terrorism or urban crisis/combat? Are there any courses related to search and rescue? If anyone has anwers I'd love to hear them.

I am not one of those three but i just want to say something about your post...as you said each of them have different ways of training as each have different levels of missions...they will have the same basic training physically and mentally but will be different as time goes by...some security agencies gave training for their employees before they gave them jobs....
