The client needs technical business analysts to play a leadership role in addressing our telecom industry clients’ business process automation and integration challenges. These challenging roles require unique individuals able to muster a range of deep business, communication, analysis and technical skills. Role & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Solution Delivery Lead, the technical BA will be perform a variety of analysis and quality assurance roles, working in close consultation with our technical team leads, solution architects and project managers. The technical BA will interact closely with customers and our developer team to:
Interact with clients on both a technical and business-sensitive level. Contribute to building and enhancing a positive client relationship.
Conduct requirements analysis, create solution specifications and interact with customers to refine, develop, deliver and support solutions.
Prepare the high level and detailed design artifacts for new projects.
Assist the development team in the implementation of the solution.
Meet aggressive schedules for our clients.

The technical BA must also contribute technically to solution construction in some of the following areas:
data modeling, analysis, query construction, and conversion design
installing, initializing, configuring solutions
Basic troubleshooting of integration solutions and web based applications
Solve problems our technology vendors cannot solve by applying creative workarounds and using practical knowledge.


Technology & Capabilities
Our Institutional Trade Management solutions are constructed primarily with a variety of Java (Server side components running on JBOSS, Struts, etc) and Microsoft (C# desktop trading applications) technologies. Integrations are conducted with customer FIX engine, buy side portfolio and sell side order book systems. Our solutions integrate large, complex mission critical systems and meet evolving business requirements while conforming to client IT standards. Customer support demands require real-time responses and close communication with the business users of our solutions.

The Ideal Candidate
We recognize the breadth of desired capabilities and technical skills is large, and that no one person is likely to meet all of these criteria. The ideal candidate will be excited by the broad scope of the role and its obvious opportunities. Ideal candidates will be able to present and justify how their previous work experience and capabilities position them to enter this role.
We’re looking for people with some or all of the following:

Senior level hands-on analysis technical and human soft-skill capabilities.

Hands on experience in implementation and use of FIX messages in securities markets, particularly trading and sales, including common FIX versions (2.x to 4.x) and FIXFAST

Knowledge of automated trading systems, markets and market participants

Familiarity with trading system testing with sufficient technical literacy to operate and execute QA regimes on new system releases (knowledge of command line OS interaction, Scripting languages, XML, Server technologies (including JBOSS) etc.

Exposure to and some understanding of software development methodologies: Object Oriented, SOA, Design Patterns, RUP, J2EE.

Experience with processing XML messages using various technologies: XPATH, XSLT, JAXB (desireable)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Performs well under pressure and in ambiguous situations

The number of years of experience and educational background you have is secondary to the above key requirements. Excellent English language, problem resolution, presentation and analytical skills are required.

Compensation
$80-100K
