Overview
A Senior Consultant is expected to have an expert knowledge of our client
‘s software products.* He/she must be able to spot and identify client issues, handle appropriately, and communicate to OUR CLIENT’S management.* He/she must have the technical qualifications to be involved in all facets of application design, development, and deployment.* The Senior Consultant must be capable of working independently without supervision.* The Senior Consultant is responsible for customer satisfaction and the development of long-term customer relationships.
Primary Responsibilities**** Provide analysis, design and leadership consulting services to clients using the OUR CLIENT’S core product line (FOCUS/WebFOCUS) which include the core features and capabilities of reporting, Dialogue Manager and Developer Studio.* Specific tasks include, but are not limited to, application development, application deployment, application maintenance, and problem resolution.
Develop a working knowledge of the core WebFOCUS products which includes reporting in MRE, BI Dashboard, and Report Caster. Also acquire a working knowledge of interfacing HTML, JavaScript, Web Server administrative procedures, and Active Server Pages with WebFOCUS reports in a self-service environment.
Recognize and help exploit business opportunities and pass the appropriate information to branch or regional management.
Must be willing and able to travel as necessary.
Skill Set
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to write solid documentation that supports the coding and project management effort
Expertise in one or more Relational DBMS and non-Relational DBMS
Expertise in a recent version of WebFOCUS
Experience with MAINTAIN is not necessary, but is a big plus.
Demonstrated proficiency with multiple operating systems
GUI tool or other front-end technology
