Should you follow up a resume with a phone call? I have been reading alot on the subject. I read this one site that had about 28 postings on the subject, and it looked like the job seekers were saying "definately, always make a follow up phone call", and the majority of hiring managers (yes there were some people that stated they had up to 12 yrs of hiring under there belts in various industries) that were giving thier opinions were completely negative: "I find it frustrating when people call me just to see if i recieved the resume", or "If somone calls me, I place thier resume in the cirular file I immediately think to myslef dont these people have patience"
I read the job boards and they tell you phone, but so many postings say "No phone calls please"
I was suprised at the responses from hiring managers. i guess what I would like to know, in the end:

DO YOU or DONT YOU, make a follow up phone call when you send a resume

Thank you

I would say do both. This means you are really interested in the position.
