Rent in Vancouver surrounding areas/surburbs?

Hi

I am just about to move to B.C. and was wondering about the location with the least expensive rent. I am considering the Burnaby, North Surrey or White Rock area because from what I understand, the sky train goes as far as Surrey(?)
I was wondering if someone could suggest locations in or around the Vancouver area that have reasonably good rates for rent? Thanks in advance.

Sure you can find a reasonable rent in Burnaby. If you are alone you can consider renting a bachelour apartment but closer to downtown. There is a map of Greater Vancouver area transit system: http://www.translink.bc.ca/Maps/transit_system_maps.asp
