Hello.

I'm starting my own sole pr. business and I live in Manitoba. I have a business number. Do I need to get a PST or GST number?

My business is drafting services and 3D Photorealistic renderings of buildings.

My question is do I charge PST or GST for the Image I give the client?

I'm really green in all of this and still trying to figure little things out.

Any help would be great,

Thanks

Matt

You have to charge GST and you need to have GST number. All services in Canada charge GST.

I have been told my business number is my PST number is this correct?

Also with GST should I still register if I'm not making $30,000 a year? Is there any real benefits in doing so if making below $30,000/yr?

I think an accountant will know best what is good for your business.

I'm not sure what the limit is but I know you don't need to charge GST if you make below a certain amount/year.
Phone the gov.

The benefit of charging everyone GST is that if you earn over the limit, you will owe the $.
If you're sure you will be under the limit, I wouldn't charge GST.
Of course you can stop selling if you get close to the limit. :-)
