Hi Friends,
My application for Permanent Resident Permit at Canada is being processed by Canadian High Commission at New Delhi and I expect to get my immigrant visa in the coming three months.I have initiated a search for a suitable job for myself in Canada.Just to give brief introduction, I am 54 year old and have done Ph.D. in Zoology.I have 24 years of experience in the breeding and management of research Laboratory Animals and the Genetic Quality Control.
I shall appreciate if someone can guide me how I should go about finding a job in Canada. On my landing in Canada for the first time, what all formalities, and official procedures will be needed.
Greetings from India,
Rajesh

That's great news Rajesh! Congratulations!

Have you decide in which Canadian city/province you are landing?

You can check the following link for zoology organizations in Canada and you can contact some of them to get better understanding of the job market and if there are any special requirements in order to practice in Canada:

Check this list of Canadian recruitment agencies (http://www.jobagencies.ca/index.asp?p=1&sp=1) too.

Good luck!

You will have to apply for a SIN number in order to be eligible to work in Canada. This is the only thing you need to do. You might consider contacting the Canadian zoology organization, or whatever it's called because you may need some additional licenses in order to practice.
