Hi Karina,

To apply as skilled worker class immigration you need to get 67 points. In order to decide if you qualify you can follow this link for more info: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/skilled/assess/index.html
This is the Citizenship and Immigration Canada Official web site and you will find the answer to all your questions there.
This is the introduction on how to apply: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/skilled/index.html

Now the Principal applicant fee is $550.

Where do you live right now and do you have any University degree?

Cheers

What about the landing fee? Do they still require you to pay landing fee when you immigrate to Canada as skilled worker?

I heard that they lowered the fee; I remember paying almost $1,000 CAD as a landing fee.

There are two fees you have to pay: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/skilled/how-1.html

Processing fee - which is $550 for the Principal applicant
Right of permanent residence fee - which is $490 for the Principal applicant

Are you applying by yourself or you are coming with your family here?

Hi Tsveta,

Is the Landing fee the same as the Right of permanent residence fee?

$1,000 for a landing fee sounds outrageous to me! What is the purpose of this fee?

Thanks

I am not sure if there is a landing fee any more. I guess it is now called Right of permanent residence fee and it is significantly less from what it used to be.
