I have tried lodging my resume on-line with no luck, so I am trying something new and writing direct to companies.
Has anyone had any success with sending their applications to agencies on-line? It seems to be the slow way!

Try everything you can. Contact recruitment agencies, post your resume online, cold calling and contacting employers directly... Finding a job these days takes a lot of effort.

Where do you get their info?

Going to agencies is mere waste of time. They will ask you to come in person and register. After that nothing will happen. Your phone messages will be ignored. Accounttemps is one of the worst agencies in Canada. I went there and did my test and got 80%. After few weeks I called and no response.
They simply ignore your messages. No recruiter comes to the phone.
Now I have made a policy not to go through an agency.

Yes, but most well-paid jobs in Canada go through recruiters in my experience.
