What is the hottest field currently in the job market? It seems that people from all industries know that it's Information Technology. Experienced professionals who've reached the status of Chief Information Officer and those just finishing high school, and everyone in between are on the list to fill the "help wanted" list. Employers are facing an overall 20% deficit of I.T. professionals. Companies are approaching students who are still in college and who have displayed exceptional potential. Sometimes full tuition reimbursement may be provided!

The following are positions in the I.T. field currently in-demand:
Programmers and analysts in:

• Object oriented software
• Data warehousing, Databases
• Business systems and development
• Systems administrator
• Voice, data and telecommunications
• Software engineer
• Web developer, web administrator
• Web/graphic designer
• Internet
• I.T. consultant
• Technical services director
• Applications development manager
• Quality assurance manager
• Manager of systems engineering
• LAN/WAN administrators
• PC software specialist
• Technical writer
• Systems architect
• ERP software integration and implementation specialist
• Network engineer

So any thoughts?

I think that IT will always be in demand. Some companies even give stock options to their employees as a benefit. As for the tuition fees I've heard that if you are good student with high grades you can often pay back only half of your student loan.

Even though I am not into IT this list is inspiring! Are the salaries different for every position? I have always thought that computer programmers can do all the jobs listed below. How silly of me.
