Hey folks, not sure where to put this as there isn't a section for it..

I've finally managed to secure a job offer from a company in Toronto :)

The contract isn't too long (6 months) and there's a chance it'll be extended when that period's up, my question is this..

When I do extend how long does that take roughly, and just out of interest is it possible to apply for a BUNAC from within Canada (if there's any left) once the six months is up?

Also.. how true is this?

'I can give you a job as a journalist on a contract basis from ***** LLC (US company), which you don't need a visa for (just your tourist visa is fine).

Congratulations! 6 month contract is not a short contract in Canada. Most of the contracts are 3 months long with possible extension. By the end of the 5th month of your contract you can ask your manager or recruiter about possible extension.
Are you coming to Canada through the BUNAC program?
As for the journalist contact position, working with tourist visa is illegal. That’s all I can tell you.
