We are currently recruiting for a dynamic individual to fulfill the role of Senior Civil / Mechanical Estimating Engineer in BC.
The successful candidate would be responsible for but not limited to:
•Participate in the operational planning and or engineering of electrical utility installations
•Investigate, analyze and solve the more challenging or unusual engineering problems by devising new approaches or by applying existing criteria in novel ways
•Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external colleagues in order to determine relative priorities and to assess the impact of the work on others
•Plan and manage resources to ensure that commitments are met
•Participate in the public consultation process when required
•Knowledge of cost control and other procedures as well as knowledge of related engineering fields.
•Assign work and give instructions, advice, and technical guidance to other engineers and technical staff
•Review the work in progress of assigned staff, consultants and contractors and review completed work to ensure quality, achievement of required results and adherence to accepted engineering practices
•An engineering degree in Civil or Mechanical field
•Registered as P.Eng or eligible for registration
•Eight (8) years experience in relevant engineering, preferably utility experience
•At least one (1) year site experience constructing utility projects
