Well I have been trying to get on as a field operator for pretty much every oilfield company that has anything to do with field work. I am currently in southern sask but now am trying to find such a job in southern alberta. I don't want to go north I know there is tons of work up there. I just need some pointers maybe some insiders tips on how I can better my chances of getting on as a field operator. I have all my necassary oilfield tickets and then some. I also have my class 1 license with air brake endoresment which i know means nothing for this position but it must look somewhat good. I do have limited oilfield experience but i know people that have been hired with even less qualifications then me. Can anybody help me out. To be more specific I would like to find something in the Medicine Hat area. Thanks for taking the time to read this. I feel I have tried to do everything I can.

I am sorry I don't have any expertise in what you do but all I can recommend is to try contacting local employment agencies (http://www.jobagencies.ca/index.asp?p=1&sp=1)
This agency has some job opportunities: http://www.petro-staff.com/candidate/candidat.htm

I wouldn't mind a copy of the list of oilfield companies you have, i'm looking for work in the indusrty, but not same position as yourself.
