Hi

This is off topic but if you are interested in obtaining certification as an Electrical Technician or Electrical Technologist you may want to look at the provincial body for the province you live in. In Ontario for example it is OACETT (Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists) www.oacett.org

If you are interested in becoming a licensed Electrician you need to talk to the Apprenticeship office. You will need an employer to sign you up as an Apprentice if you chose to go this route. You will then need to complete a specified number of hours and in-school training. I imagine you will be credited for a certain amount of hours because of your past education and experience. In Ontario it takes approximately 4 to 5 years to get through an Electrical Apprenticeship if you start from scratch. When I did mine I was credited 1000 hours for my 3 year Technology diploma which was obtained in Ontario.
