Well my high school has an attendance policy of 95% or you fail the subject. And since i dropped under that i have failed Year 11 so ive decided to leave to get a job.

But the problem is since ive failed Year 11 i only have a Year 10 pass.. so what am i going to say on my resume and in interviews thats not gonna make me sound like an idiot? I need a really good reason to say other then "i was too lazy to keep going to school"

Can anyone help me out please? any suggestions would be great

Thanks

Hi, do you have any work experience? What kind of job are you looking for?
Can't you just go back to school and graduate? This will make you life easier :)

Omit the education heading; the type of jobs teenagers can get usually don't have academic requirements. They're also pretty lousy, so if you're out for a year apply for night school.

Volunteer jobs can be listed under work experience. If you don't have any experience you'll have to come up with soft skills to fill out your resume. Think about anything you did in school that is in someway relevant to each job.

Hi,

I agree with meperidine. I would suggest going back to school, you can only benefit from it. I hope these resume tips (http://www.jobagencies.ca/index.asp?p=4&sp=2)will help you build your resume! Check out the interview tips (http://jobforum.ca/showthread.php?t=15). Most of them apply for nearly every job interview.

95% is pretty harsh, and now in the short run getting a job, may see like the only reality, but I do recommend getting high school and then pursuin a trade or something .. you'll really benefit from it.

I know it's a cliché but go back to school otherwise you will get lousy jobs with low pay...
