Finance Coordinator

The 500 Staffing inc. proudly represents a Non-Profit organization based out of Vancouver. Our client is seeking a Finance Coordinator, someone that is enthusiastic, energetic, a self-starter, hard working, hands-on and someone that can go the extra mile when needed. We need a SUPERSTAR!

In this role you will be responsible for:

· The Finance Coordinator, located in the Vancouver office, is responsible for providing support to the Controller and acting as a key contact for staff, suppliers, and contractors while carrying out full-cycle accounting duties for our client.

· Under general supervision, the Finance Coordinator provides financial and administrative services by overseeing, administering and processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions for the organization.

· The position is responsible for supporting the organization’s on-going financial operations including timely account preparation and reconciliation, identifying anomalies and alerting the Controller of discrepancies in financial transactions, participating in the enhancement and maintenance of the financial systems, and developing and presenting recommendations.

· Responsibilities include: but are not limited to, overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable, corporate credit card administration, clarifying and ensuring adherence to financial policies and procedures by staff and stakeholders, preparing and presenting monthly financial reports to each of the business units, preparing reconciliations and ad hoc reports, assisting with the annual audit, and other duties as required.

· Due to the nature and volume of work and corporate operational requirements, the candidate must be able to work independently as well as closely with other members of the business services team to ensure that accurate information and resources are provided to our clients stakeholders in a timely manner.
· Related undergraduate diploma or degree and a minimum of three years related administrative experience
· Prefer enrolment in a certified accounting designation program
· Demonstrated experience performing financial services accurately and within designated deadlines
· Demonstrated experience/training working with current computer applications such as QuickBooks, Excel, MS Word, Windows, Adobe, and Outlook, to create spreadsheets using formulas, use electronic mail, maintain databases and draft communication using Word documents
