any help?

hi i used to be a sub for a flooring company. a couple of questions please.
1) i was billed $200 for not showing up (truck broke down)
2) had a problem where 2 jobs wherent done right? i offered to fix them but read on.

i worked for this company for 3 weeks. on the 3rd week i was suspose to get paid for the first 2. after seeing that they billed me for the not showing up i was angry and quite, had some materials at a site left it there and went home. the owner of the company was there with his van when i told him i was done with his company. the problem work happened in week 3. 4 business days later the check was canceled by him due do the problemed worked and his materials went missing from the site, which exceaded the amount on the check. i filed small claims in court, and tried many times to solve this problem by fixing the work if i was paid for the previous work (no problems with the past work), i filled out a job application with there company, no contract signed that i would be held responsible for damaged work or missing materials. i can prove that i tried to work it out with them. any help?
