The best IT fields?

Hi,

I am resident of India and I have M.Sc. degree in Computer Science.
I have applied for immigration to Canada and I’m waiting to hear back from the embassy.
My question is which fields of Computer Science & Information Technology have more job opportunities: software programming, web design, networking, or something else?

Regards,

Amal

Welcome to JobForum.ca Amal!

If you have enough experience you will find a well paid job in any of those IT fields.

I would say that your best bets are software development (Microsoft .NET, VB6, C++, Java) and web development (ASP & ASP.NET, PHP).

I highly recommend you research whether or not your foreign degree meets Canadian standards before you do anything else. (ie. if your degree is recognized in Canada)

Try Australia

If you don't get to Canada, you could try Australia (visit getthatjob.com.au and send them an email, they have lots of contacts for immigration to Australia.
