We are currently seeking a full-time Senior Network Administrator/ Development DBA for our Mississauga head office.

The main purpose of this position is to provide ongoing support to existing and future Maritz Canada infrastructure projects and applications. This position reports directly to the MGTS Manager.

As our Senior Network Administrator/ Development DBA, you will:

Have a primary focus on collaborative efforts with the e-Business team to ensure timely delivery of MGTS infrastructure projects and applications
Provide input/feedback on application performance (CPU utilization, memory, etc.)
Provide monthly reporting on application, database and website performance
Collaboratively troubleshoot/performance tune applications with development teams
Be the single point of contact between developers and infrastructure

As our Senior Network Administrator/ Development DBA, you have:

Excellent oral and written communication skills
Attention to detail
A self-starter attitude with problem solving skills
A demonstrated initiative and maturity
A highly organized and energetic team player attitude
Strong knowledge of MS SharePoint Portal/Services
5 or more years of experience in the Information Technology industry
A university degree in Computer Science or equivalent
1 or more Microsoft certifications (MCAD,MCAS,MCDBA, MCSE)
Experience with systems environment analysis
Experience with needs and operations documentation
The ability to liaise with corporate infrastructure team on job failures, issues and outages
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft development tools and database technologies plus one or more of the following:
Microsoft .NET framework and Visual Studio .NET, ASP, C#
Microsoft SQL Server 2000, Microsoft SQL Server 2005
Database programming, transact SQL, DTS, Replication, SSIS, .Net
Software development, Application Support
.Net, vbScript, Java, Java Script, Unix/Linux
Working knowledge of one or more of the following:
Microsoft Solutions Framework (MSF)
Internet protocols such as HTTP, XML, SOAP
Web Service Architecture
Unit Testing Tools (Mercury, etc.)
Code promotion
Application troubleshooting
