Technical writer

Hi everyone,
I am trying to switch careers and I am very interested on the field of technical writer, but I have some questions.
Is this a field with a high demand?
Will the fact that English is not my first language put me in a disadvantageous situation when looking for a job?
How can I get the experience (that companies ask) after finishing a Technical writer certificate?
Thanks!

Hi ,
If you are fluent in English this should be enough. I don't think it is a disadvantage. You can check workopolis.com and monster.ca to see how many job opportunities there are for technical writers and also contact recruiters to get a better idea of the demand in that field.
