Globally Experienced HR Professional

To whom it may concern,

I have recently returned to Canada and I would like to find a position that is suitable for my skills and experience.

As I stated above, I have returned to Canada after 10 years of working in Daejeon, South Korea. I was employed by the Korean government-run national water utility for the last 8 years. I was the sole employee that was non-Korean amongst 4000 total workers; 1000 in the corporate head office where I was employed. I was attached to the HR Department throughout my term of employment and saw my duties and responsibilities continually expand (unfortunately, the office was trying very hard to be English only so I did not become proficient in Korean). My position was as Administrator for Cross-Cultural Education where I was responsible for employee recruitment and interviewing, training and development, editing and proofreading of legal and technical documents, international business support, language and cultural training, and even writing documents for the company president. The reason I left was family related- my children have reached school age and I wanted them to be educated in Canada.

As for the job that I am looking for... I have a Masters degree in Human Resources from Fort Hays State University and a BA in History from the University of Calgary. I also have extensive experience in a retail environment, at all levels up to and including store management. I feel that these, coupled with my other experiences provide me with a unique set of skills that can be utilized by a wide variety of companies. My successful experience in training and development, multi-cultural relations, and leadership has been the result of focusing on results for both employees and companies. I would prefer to get into a HR administration position but would also consider something in training and development or recruiting if it was attractive.

Finally, I am looking for to work in the GTA; however the most significant factor is the job itself and both sides can mutually benefit from my joining the firm.

Please feel free to contact me so I may meet with someone and find the best opportunity for me!

Sincerely,

Brian Witzel
