Hi there, does anybody have an idea how is the job market now?
Are there lot of jobs on the market?

That totally depends what field of work you are in.
Some industries are thriving whilst others are struggling.

You are best off looking at the various job sites and seeing how many job advertisements are listed.
That will give you a good idea of what it's like :)

I am a computer programmer and I've been working on a contact in the last 6 months but my contract is ending in a few weeks and I need to starst looking for a job. I don't have any idea how is the job market. last year was very good, I got lots of calls from recruiters.

Are you currently in Canada? If you aren't, you may want to consider Ottawa. The federal government does a lot of contract work.

One thing you have to realise is Canada is huge and the employment opportunities are very diverse from region to region.
