Im a grade 10 student, and I'm looking for a job in science, where it combines nature. A botanist is cool. But I'm looking for a job that I can fly around the world traveling to forests, and ecosystems around the world, and study that.
Does a job with these characteristics exist?
That sounds like a cool job! You could become an Environmental technologists or an Ecologist. You will work indoors and outdoors, in environmental labs; you will do field sampling, will work probably with Hazardous materials and will be involved in environmental issue analysis.
The job prospects for this field are expected to be very good because of the growing awareness of environmental issues.
In high school you should take math, physics, English, chemistry and biology and later you could go to college or university. It is very diverse job and if you love traveling you will enjoy it.
I once took a course in ecology and it was really captivating. We had field trips in National parks and explored, took samples... I really miss it and sometimes I regret that I didn’t pursue a career in ecology.
