Post UAT Tester (QA)

Duties and Responsibilities
• Development and design of test plans specific for different applications
• Receiving, interpreting and documenting error reports from the clients
• Creation and design of test scenarios and test plans for the applications
• Review and checking of test cases for software programs
• Keeping up to date with standards and requirements of software quality assurance as stipulated by the company
• Development and implementation of functionality tests
• Development and implementation of regression tests
• Preparation of reports on defects and problems that arise during software tests
• Tracking of reported problems and defects using tracking software
• Preparation of software evaluation test reports
• Appraise test manager of all issues in a timely fashion
• Raise and ensure resolution of faults
• Hand have understanding of workarounds raised during testing
• Arranges conference call or other forum to resolve the problem
• Ensure test results/faults are published to the appropriate audience as required.

Skills
• Knowledge of SQL
• Knowledge of methods and processes used in quality assurance of applications
• Knowledge and skills in various SDLC models
• Knowledge and skills in modern test methodologies and tools
• Well-developed analytical skills
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Good report writing skills
• Proven problem solving skills

Educational Background
• A bachelor’s degree in an IT related field
• Some practical work experience of Java, and XML
• Basic PC literacy to include a minimum use of MS Office, Quality Center, Quick Test Professional (QTP)
