Default Do you like/play/watch soccer?

Hi,

Canada welcomes hundreds of thousands of immigrants each year and not small part of these people is from Europe where soccer is very popular. I for one enjoy playing soccer and I watch the English Premier League matches whenever I can. I hate to use the word soccer (it's football after all), but if I use football, everybody here will think that I'm talking about American football.

Do you like soccer and what is your favourite team?

I've never been a soccer (football) fan. However, I was in England earlier this year visiting all my relatives (I was born there; only my immediate family is in Canada) and I enjoyed watching a few games. Everyone I met over there is right into it. Everyone is wearing football shirts, the kids are playing it in the streets, and it is hot topic at every corner pub. I have to admit I got a little caught up in it and found myself watching as well.

Oh yeah, go Newcastle! Newcastle is about a 40 minute drive from my home town of Darlington, England.
