New to outside sales please help!

Hello there fellow sales associates, I'm looking outside sales reps to point me in the right dirrection:
I have been in inside sales for the past 5 years now I'm changing into a different industry (tech.) working as an account executive (outside)
and what would be the best way to get appointments?
2. how do you look for porspects if the company does not provide you a list to call?
3. do you walk cold into an business?
4. what is your best practice to get in front of business owners?
