Default Job Offer in Nunavut

Hi,
I am a computer specialist and I got a job offer for Nunavut. The salary is good compared to other parts of Canada but I'm not sure I want to go.
Anybody been there? I have a family and I am thinking of going alone first. How is the weather like? I know I can't expect warm weather but if you can share a thought I will much appreciate it.

Thanks

Is this a permanent position or a contract? Care to share what the salary is?

I wouldn't go there unless somebody offers me 3 times what I make here, and this will be a lot and I'm sure nobody will do that

I've never been to Nunavut but lookingforjob is right - the salary should be considerably higher than Toronto for example. Keep in mind that the groceries are more expensive because it’s not easy to transport them so far north. You will earn more money but you will spend more. Just be careful not to end up in the same situation, if you are not able to save money what is the point of going there?

What makes you think that the salary would be higher than in Toronto?
I thought it would be higher pay in Toronto?

Well it is better paid, I guess because nobody wants to go there and they need specialist they don't have. Anyway I decided not to go. The job market is good and I will find something here. Wish me luck
