Hi to all the job seekers out there.
Get ready for the National Job Fair in Toronto on April 3 and 4, 2007, at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

Tuesday, April 3, 2007: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Wednesday, April 4, 2007: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.



If you are looking for a new job this a great place to start. Make sure you have many copies of your Resume with you. This is great opportunity to meet employers and employment agencies of all types and from all sectors.

Think I should go? Before answering: Bear in mind two things:

1. I'm aiming for fairly senior R&D positions in the IT or Telecom industries (Project Manager or better)

2. I'll be flying in from the other side of the world.

Hi Almo,
What they basically do at the Job Fair is to harvest Resumes. You wait on long lines to give your Resume to people who don't even talk to you.
This was my bitter experience in the past (like 6 years ago). I don't know if they have changed their ways, but I wouldn’t bother if I were you.

Don't be so hard on the recruiters. If nobody called you doesn’t mean that they don't call anybody. All the recruiters and employers at that Job Fair have paid to get a booth and meet with potential employees so probably they need to be there too.
